Abstract

This article explores the role of personalized nutrition in managing obesity and metabolic disorders through a qualitative literature review. As obesity and related metabolic conditions continue to rise globally, traditional one-size-fits-all dietary approaches have proven inadequate. Personalized nutrition, which tailors dietary recommendations based on individual characteristics such as genetics, lifestyle, and preferences, presents a promising alternative. This study synthesizes existing research on the effectiveness of personalized nutrition interventions in promoting weight loss, improving metabolic health, and enhancing overall well-being. The findings indicate that personalized dietary strategies can lead to more sustainable weight management outcomes compared to conventional methods. Additionally, the integration of technology, such as mobile applications and wearable devices, facilitates continuous monitoring and support, further enhancing adherence to personalized nutrition plans. The review highlights the importance of considering individual variability in metabolism and response to dietary changes, emphasizing that a personalized approach can address the unique challenges faced by individuals struggling with obesity and metabolic disorders. Ultimately, this article advocates for the incorporation of personalized nutrition into public health strategies and clinical practices to improve health outcomes and reduce the burden of obesity-related diseases. Future research should focus on long-term effects and the development of standardized guidelines for implementing personalized nutrition in diverse populations.
