Abstract

Innovation management is a critical factor in maintaining a competitive edge in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. This study explores how effective innovation management contributes to an organization’s ability to sustain its market position and adapt to changing conditions. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates quantitative data from a survey of 150 managers across multiple industries and qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with senior executives. The findings indicate that organizations prioritizing innovation management achieve superior performance through product development, process optimization, and strategic agility. Key drivers identified include visionary leadership, efficient resource allocation, and a workplace culture fostering creativity and collaboration. Moreover, aligning innovation strategies with long-term business objectives emerges as a vital element in ensuring sustainability and consistent growth. The study also underscores the challenges organizations face in implementing innovation strategies, such as resistance to change, inadequate funding, and misalignment between innovation efforts and business goals. Practical recommendations include establishing a clear innovation framework, investing in employee training, and leveraging technology to streamline innovation processes. By addressing these challenges, organizations can maximize the impact of their innovation initiatives. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on innovation management by providing actionable insights for practitioners and policymakers. It highlights the importance of adopting a structured and proactive approach to innovation to thrive in competitive markets. The findings offer valuable guidance for organizations seeking to enhance their resilience and maintain a competitive advantage in an increasingly complex and dynamic global economy.
