Adopting Wearable Health Technologies for Comprehensive Chronic Disease and Preventive Care Management

Wearable health technologies (WHTs) are increasingly being adopted as transformative tools in healthcare, offering real-time monitoring, data-driven insights, and personalized interventions. This study explores the role of WHTs in comprehensive chronic disease management and preventive care, emphasizing their potential to enhance patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and promote proactive health behaviors. By integrating advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, and seamless connectivity, WHTs empower patients and healthcare providers to track vital signs, detect early health anomalies, and optimize treatment strategies. This research highlights key benefits, challenges, and adoption barriers, including data privacy concerns, technological literacy, and accessibility issues. It also evaluates the effectiveness of WHTs in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as their application in preventive measures like fitness tracking and early risk assessments. Findings indicate that WHTs can significantly improve healthcare delivery by bridging gaps in traditional systems, fostering patient engagement, and facilitating evidence-based decision-making. The study concludes with recommendations for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and technology developers to enhance WHT integration into routine care, ensuring equitable access and sustainable implementation.
